Why should I see a chiropractor

Why should you see a chiropractor? A lot of people explain “I’m not in severe pain” or “I can still go and do the work I need to.” However, I like to explain it as you don’t know what you are missing until you get it back. With chiropractic care, we are trying to increase range of motion, increase strength, and build the musculoskeletal system to help you move better and more often. There a lot of pieces that could be a part of that puzzle. For example, I’ve had patient’s come in saying my neck feels fine and no pain, but they are only able to turn their head less than half of what it is supposed to move. I get it, sometimes you get hurt and you want to wait it out and see if the pain goes away. Our bodies are great at healing themselves, but sometimes you wait longer and longer, and the pain doesn’t completely go away and you keep going anyways. This is a big concern and that will make things last with treatment as well. Usually the longer you have had a problem the longer it will take to get better. Sometimes when you come in right away you get better quicker because your body hasn’t adapted to that painful or abnormal movement. Take a car for example, everyone understands that you should change the oil and filter to keep it going. When the oil gets bad, the car doesn’t stop working immediately, but will keep going until it becomes a serious problem and then the whole system suffers significantly and quickly. Think of your body in the same way, if you don’t take care of your body a little at a time it will become a bigger and bigger problem as time goes on. This is where chiropractic shines in trying to portray that you may not have a severe problem, but proactive and preventative care with checkup can be really helpful to keep you moving well. Keeping yourself healthy is so much easier than getting yourself healthy. Chiropractic care is great to keep you moving well, it is not invasive, and a little treatment now will go a long way. Please don’t wait till it gets so bad that you can’t move because it will only make it more difficult to get moving again.
