What are things that you can do on your own to help improve your health? We have discussed a lot about exercise and movement, but I wanted to discuss nutrition briefly today. Nutrition is a huge topic and I will only discuss a few areas, but nutrition plays a massive role on your health and well being. We are all smart enough to know what is good for us and what is not. If you are out there eating hot dogs and boxed dinners that you microwave, these are usually are not good for you. A topic I did want to talk about though is getting those nutrients in a natural form. Getting your nutrients in a natural form by eating things like fruits and vegetables is the best option. If you are not able to do that, try to get them from a supplement that tries to get those food in a condensed form rather than a synthesized, made in a lab, type form. Chronic inflammation is a common topic that you hear about and this can cause things like gut problems, osteoarthritis down the road, and even healing with injury such as neuropathy or pain and tingling into the fingers or toes or sprains and strains. Taking in various forms of anti-inflammatories can be a great way to battle chronic inflammation and could be an indefinite option. This may be different than your typically thinking of what an anti-inflammatory does such as ibuprofen. There are different properties such as how long it lasts in your system and how much it effects your GI, gastrointestinal, system. Some really great forms of anti-inflammatories are your Omega 3s, Turmeric, Curcumin, and Vitamin E (an example of a good anti-inflammatory). There are ton of products out there and this is why I use and recommend Kyani.

The product is composed of natural products such as acai berry, grape seed, pomegranate, cranberry, wolf berry, ginseng, aloe vera, broccoli, spinach, kale, and more. These are things that we know and constantly hear are super foods for us and are great nutrient dense foods. This product helps us get the nutrients that we need on a daily basis because let’s face it, how many of us are eating fruits and vegetables at every meal with a good source of fish in our diets? It is rare and if done well, is it done everyday. When it comes down to it, it is hard to be consistent. Another big reason I love the product is that the supplement comes in liquid forms to help with better absorption. The sunset product is a liquid capsule that provides you with all your fat soluble vitamins and omegas to be absorbed slowly while you sleep. The nitro product helps with vasodilation, which is a fancy word for opening up your blood vessels by helping your body produce nitric oxide, an already made and used product in the body. This can help with energy and recovery are the most common reported benefits. Again, I use and recommend this product because it is made for good absorption rates and it is made up of things that we know we should have in our diet everyday, but may just fall short.

Nutrition is huge. The first thing I would recommend to anyone with wanting to improve nutrition is do a food diary. Anytime you write it down, you will start to really see where you can improve.
