Ski/Snowboard Warm up

Today coming to you on location from the Gondola at Heavenly Ski Resort. The health tip for you today is proper warm up. Skiers and snowboarders are notorious for maybe stretching at home, driving to resort, walking to lift, and taking an “easy” run and calling it a warm up. If you wanted to go for a long hard run would you just go for an “easy” run first? Not likely. You would do a few movements to get you ready before starting out slow. The same goes for skiing and snowboarding. Getting some turns in and a good thing to do is a little warm up. Today it was a gondola warm up, but I try to always do 3 things: squats, lunges, and balancing on one leg. Doing it on the gondola makes it a little more difficult because it moves and if you have a bunch of people in the same gondola as you it would make it difficult for space. Hope you liked the video and views from today and we’ll see you next time.
