Chiropractic treatment can play a vital role in helping improve your athletic capacity and recover from sports injuries. Everyone is an athlete at one level or another. We all want to live our own Tahoe lifestyle and be comfortable doing it. When it comes down to it, you are the athlete and you are in charge of your life and healthcare. We focus on your goals to move towards getting you better and helping you advance from good to great!

A common misconception is that a any chiropractor can be a sports chiropractor if that’s what they want to focus on. However, just like any other specialty in medicine, you wouldn’t go to your primary medical doctor and ask to have heart surgery performed by that doctor. You would search out a cardiologist, someone who has spent significant time with experience and with education to accomplish the task you wish to accomplish. A sports chiropractor has additional hours of education and clinical experience with diagnosis, management of various conditions, and treatment options all on top of the traditional chiropractic doctorate degree. Dr. Haworth is the only certified sports chiropractor in the entire Tahoe Basin and is able to treat and manage a variety of those Tahoe injuries. He also is an avid skier, mountain biker, and outdoor enthusiast himself and understands from both sides how to manage conditions common to Tahoe.

Dr. Haworth has worked with a variety of age groups, events and athletes such as:

Skiers and Snowboarders

Mountain and Road Bikers

Rock Climbers

Lake Tahoe Cycling and Marathon Events

National women’s softball tournaments

Minor league baseball team

Seaside beach volleyball national tournament

Regional track and field tournaments

Western States soccer tournaments

CrossFit athletes and prep for The Games

High school sports

Why Tahoe?

Dr. Haworth chose to bring Summit to Shore Chiropractic to South Lake Tahoe because of the active mentality of the residents in this area and to seek out his own Tahoe lifestyle. He also wanted to bring a focus in sports chiropractic treatment to the South Lake Tahoe. He received additional training to be a sports chiropractor and is the only Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner® in the Lake Tahoe region. Click the link below to see the extra work that goes into the certification process.
